The University of Nottingham is leading WP4 on advanced monitoring and sensor technologies. It will contribute to other work packages looking at risk assessment and baseline and advanced monitoring strategies as well as the development and exchange of best practices resulting from SECURe.
The University of Nottingham is a public research university based in the UK, founded as University College Nottingham in 1881. Its academic expertise and current research, with regard to SECURe, include fluid flow and fracture flow in porous media, geochemical reactive processes and multiscale modelling and simulation of subsurface porous media.
The GeoEnergy Research Centre combines the university’s expertise with the facilities and expertise available at the British Geological Survey, providing a unique cross-disciplinary centre.
