SECURe, an EU H2020 project, is developing new techniques and good practice for environmental monitoring of CCUS and shale gas projects. As part of this, the team has organised a fact-finding visit to the US and Canada to identify examples of good practice in CO2 storage and unconventional hydrocarbons (shale gas) projects from different perspectives.
This one-day event brings together the storage-focused CCS projects supported through the EU’s Horizon2020 and ACT funding streams to showcase latest research results and developments with special relevance for energy, environment and climate policy.
This workshop was hosted by the GeoEnergy Research Centre (GERC) within the context of the SECURe EU project, and focused on monitoring and risk assessment of CCS and unconventional reservoirs.
The SECURe General Assembly brings together representatives from the project’s 16 partner institutes and companies for three days of talks, workshops and a site visit.
As well as providing a forum for work package leads and their teams to assess progress and plan ahead, the General Assembly also provides networking and knowledge exchange opportunities. More details will be made available in due course. Please note: this event is only open to SECURe project partners, Advisory Board and funders.
